(May 1, 2019) The Eva Wardlaw Conservation Area is closed May 1, 2019, until further notice.
The Parks Creek Backflood Control Dam will be in full operation May 2, 2019, to block rising water from Lake Nipissing from entering Parks Creek. Water flow from Parks Creek into Lake Nipissing will be pumped around the dam.
Lake Nipissing is expected to rise to 196.2m by May 2 or 3, the level at which flood damage can occur on the shoreline of Lake Nipissing.
La Vase River and Jessups Creek may also experience backwater effects from Lake Nipissing resulting in flooding along the La Vase River close to Lake Nipissing.
