Chippewa Creek Erosion Project Completed

Class EA- Chippewa Creek Channel Repair (Oak St.)

North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) and the City of North Bay are pleased to announce that this project has been completed in accordance with the Environmental Assessment for Remedial Flood and Erosion Control Project, as approved under the Environmental Assessment Act for projects of this type. All monitoring program commitments for the approved project have been met.

The Project included a structural assessment of the existing pedestrian bridge, identifying the need for its replacement. This Class Environmental Assessment will be completed in partnership with the City of North Bay to meet the recommendations of the Chippewa Creek Erosion Control Study and Inventory for channel repair and removal/replacement of the City’s pedestrian bridge abutments.
