Legal Inquiries - Section 28

It is helpful for a new property owner to know if any portion of their new property is subject to Ontario Regulation 41/24 - Prohibited Activities, Exemptions and Permits.  To assist potential purchasers, NBMCA can provide information on whether a property is likely to be affected by NBMCA policies and regulations.

When submitting a property information request to NBMCA, solicitors/agents must provide the following information:

  • Cover Letter: Specifying details of the request.
  • Fee: The administration fee for solicitor/agent property information requests. (Fee Schedules)
  • Property Information: Address, legal description, assessment roll number and name(s) of previous owners if known.
  • Closing Date:  Please note that it takes a minimum of five business days for staff to respond to property information requests.  Responses may be provided sooner if time permits.  Requests are dealt with on a first come, first served basis.
