Legal Inquiries - Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses (DIA)
It is helpful for a new property owner to know if any portion of their new property is subject to the Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses regulation. To assist potential purchasers, NBMCA can provide information on whether a property is likely to be affected by NBMCA policies and regulations.
When submitting a property information request to NBMCA, solicitors/agents must provide the following information:
- Cover Letter: Specifying details of the request.
- Fee: The administration fee for solicitor/agent property information requests. (Fee Schedules)
- Property Information: Address, legal description, assessment roll number and name(s) of previous owners if known.
- Closing Date: Please note that it takes a minimum of five business days for staff to respond to property information requests. Responses may be provided sooner if time permits. Requests are dealt with on a first come, first served basis.
