The journey of cancer can be isolating. Chemotherapy is often a part of this journey. One day as I prepared to go to chemo my neighbor brought a gift that her mother had made. It was a crocheted prayer shawl to remind me that I was not alone through those that offered prayers for my wellness. I keep this shawl with me, and it has carried me through many challenging days. Carmen knows this journey because she is on the same journey. I am humbled when I consider that she takes the time to reach out to others even though she has her own struggles. Not all angels are in heaven. Honoured by Giuseppe (Joe) Ortepi.
