Community Notice – Upcoming Public Information Session on PFAS 

We want to help make sure our North Bay community is aware of this upcoming public information session.   

Date: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 
Time: 3:00–8:00 PM EST 
Location: Best Western North Bay Hotel & Conference Centre, 700 Lakeshore Dr, North Bay, ON 

The Department of National Defence and the City of North Bay will co-host this second public information session to share latest project information and provide updates on their joint efforts to address PFAS (polyfluoroalkylated substances) originating from the Jack Garland Airport and CFB North Bay. 

Subject matter experts will present ongoing study and remediation updates. Representatives from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit will also share information and will be available to answer questions. 

Session Schedule: 

  • 3:00–4:00 PM – Open house 
  • 4:00–5:00 PM – Presentation 1 
  • 5:00–6:00 PM – Open house 
  • 6:00–7:00 PM – Presentation 2 (repeat) 
  • 7:00–8:00 PM – Open house
