Today’s snow survey measurements show a snow depth increase of 8.0 cm, and snow water equivalence increase of 14.7 mm from the last survey on December 1, reports the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) who measures snow depth and water content as part of its Flood Forecasting and Warning Program.

“The fresh snowfall has a combined average snow depth of 20.5 cm and snow water equivalence of 32.7 mm at the three snow course locations,” said Angela Mills, NBMCA Water Resources Specialist.

Snow is measured for depth and water equivalence at three locations in the watershed.
